Wichita Clinic’s Breast Care Services offers compassionate, personalized, patient focused breast care by utilizing an interdisciplinary approach to providing the best treatment, education and support for women and their families.

Our comprehensive program provides early detection, diagnosis, treatment, and reconstruction, as well as services for those at high risk for breast cancer.

Combining state-of-the-art technology with collaborative medical and surgical healthcare, our team of physicians evaluates both benign and malignant breast diseases and conducts on-site pathology.

Our patients have access to a full range of breast-imaging techniques and the newest minimally invasive techniques used to perform breast biopsies. If a woman is diagnosed with cancer, an individualized plan of care is coordinated with her surgeon. Each patient is provided a Breast Care Journey Notebook to guide them through each stage of their treatment.

Continuity of care is a high priority to our team. Treatment procedures vary from breast-conserving treatments such as a lumpectomy, to simple and modified radical mastectomies. Sentinel node mapping is offered to eligible patients so that a full lymph node dissection may not have to be performed. If a mastectomy needs to be performed, patients are referred to our plastic surgeons to discuss their reconstruction options.

Wichita Clinic’s Breast Care Services offers a full array of support and educational programs for patients and their families including nurse navigator, genetic & emotional counseling, and local support groups.

The Breast MRI Procedure handout is now accessible online! Please click here to access this handout.
